Markets that need extra approval

    Foreign prescription medicines generally need FDA approval and related registration. Personal importation by post or courier is usually not allowed.

  • Canada

    Residents generally cannot receive foreign prescription medicines by mail for personal use. Commercial imports need the right licences.

  • Saudi Arabia

    Express courier prescription shipments typically need a personal import permit plus prescription, medical report, invoice, and shipping papers.

  • South Africa

    Registered medicines usually need a licensed South African importer. Unregistered products may need Section 21 authorisation from SAHPRA.
